Expenditure on work related clothing and laundry thereof is tax deductible provided the clothing is used specifically in connection with the earning of your assessable income.

The clothing must not be conventional clothing just used for your work as a truck driver,

i.e. : King Gee shorts and work jeans are not deductible.

Protective clothing would include such things as safety-coloured vests (Hi Vis), steel cap boots, hard hats, gloves, overalls, heavy-duty work shirts and trousers with reflective strips.
